Their bus crashes in a severe storm, causing them to seek shelter in the middle of nowhere. Instead of shelter, they find terror in the form of Norma and her brood of undead trailer trash.

'Zombies!' Eat Their Way to DVD

in

"Zombies! Zombies! Zombies!," the original Strippers vs Zombies movie, will be released on DVD September 9th. The DVD will also be available for rent at Netflix and Blockbuster.

The plot deals with a group of zombies that were created when a drug experiment goes a little awry. The saviors of mankind to fight the flesh eating monsters, a group of exotic dancers cornered in a strip club. Sounds like a can't miss story to me.

Shooting is set to begin next month on the SciFi Channel remake of "Children of the Corn." The film is slated to premiere in the states on the SciFi Channel and in European theatres in 2009.

The film is being helmed by Donald Borchers, who was one of the producers of the original version. Borchers takes on the daunting tasks of writing, directing and producing the remake. And he promises to make this version truer to the Stephen King novella on which these films are based.

Image Makes 'Stuck' Suck

in

Being a fan of Stuart Gordon's films, it should come as a shock to no one that I've been eagerly awaiting the October release of the DVD of his 2007 movie, "Stuck."

So, I go Image Entertainment's online listing to check out the DVD package. I peep the trailer, product info, and technical specs. Rated R. Okay, I can't expect everyone to put out an unrated package. Everything else is looking really good.

Rumor has it that Natalie Portman is set to star in and produce a remake of the classic Dario Argento film, "Suspiria." Furthermore, David Gordon Green, whose "Pineapple Express" is currently in theaters, has been slated to direct. Portman's production company, Handsome Charlie Films, will be producing.

The film tells the story of an American ballet dancer who goes to Germany to join a prestigious dance academy. Only to find that it houses a secret coven of witches who practice black magic.

Twenty-Year-Old Chainsaw Hookers?

in

The Fred Olen Ray classic, "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers," is now available in a 20th Anniversary Widescreen edition. Huzzah!

The movie is about a private detective who uncovers a cult of murderous hookers whose preferred weapons are chainsaws. It stars Gunnar Hansen, Michelle Bauer, Jay Richardson, and features Linnea Quigley performing the Virgin Dance of the Double Chainsaws.

This is one of my favorite Fred Olen Ray creations. The title alone gets ideas swimming around my brain. I can't wait to get my grubby paws on this version.
