Image Makes 'Stuck' Suck
Being a fan of Stuart Gordon's films, it should come as a shock to no one that I've been eagerly awaiting the October release of the DVD of his 2007 movie, "Stuck."
So, I go Image Entertainment's online listing to check out the DVD package. I peep the trailer, product info, and technical specs. Rated R. Okay, I can't expect everyone to put out an unrated package. Everything else is looking really good.
Then I get to the second half of the page. Where it lists the special features, or the lack thereof. Trailer. That's right, nothing listed but a trailer. Which I just saw online. Um. What's up with that?
I have been informed that the only way to view a "Stuck" DVD with special features is to rent it from Blockbuster or purchase a more expensive Blu-ray copy. I will confess that I have yet to evolve to Blu-ray. (I was waiting out the HD/Blu-ray battle.) So that is not really an option.
This really ticks me off! Image would rather have me rent from Blockbuster than purchase a copy? I guess I should've paid more attention in economics class, 'cause this just makes no sense to me. I wonder if the Netflix copies will have special features or if it's exclusive to Blockbuster, which it sounds like.
Sorry, Stuart. But, I may have to boycott this one.
