Dean Cain Joins 'Maneater'

Dean Cain is the latest actor to join Michael Emanuel's "Maneater." Cain joins Siri Baruc ("Mega Snake"), fembot Donna W. Scott, and Mindy's dad, Conrad Janis. The script is co-written by Emanuel and John K. Anderson. This will be Emanuel's directorial debut.

"Maneater" tells the story of a former FBI profiler who is now a small town sheriff whose bigger job is being a single parent to a high school aged daughter. Small town tranquility is disrupted by a series of murders based on Native American mythology. The monster the sheriff is looking for, may be himself. Sounds like a possible skinwalker scenario, but I haven't seen more than the plot.

This is the second of ten planned movies that Canal Street Films is producing with independent financing. The first was "The Uninvited," whose trailer can be seen here.
