| By now, most of you who want to see Paranormal Activity have already done so. Unless you're cheap and want to wait to rent the DVD. Don't be ashamed, I can relate. If you've seen it, you're either going to be excited or wary about this little tidbit. Oren Peli, the writer/director of the aforementioned Paranormal Activity, has sold his new feature, Area 51, to Paramount. Yes, that makes them 2 for 2. Peli goes from no budget to $5 million on this venture. Not a bad sign, but not necessarily a good one, either. According to IMDB, the plot revolves around "A group of teenagers stumble upon an area in the Nevada desert known for hosting an alien encounter." I'm not to sure how someone stumbles upon a fenced and well-guarded military base, but no good can come from it. Can Peli strike gold twice? We shall see. | |
